COURSE GOALS:

The goals of the OBI Applications training course are: 

• To be familiarised with Oracle BI Applications and understand its components. 
• To provide knowledge to maintain and administer BI Applications instances. 

TARGET AUDIENCE:

IT Administrators – understand the steps to follow in order to get an Oracle BI Applications installation ready and the cost of customising it. 

PRE-REQUISITES:

Basic knowledge in Dimensional modelling, Oracle BI Administration Tool and Informatica PowerCenter is needed to enrol in this course. 

LANGUAGES:

OBI Applications is offered in English and Spanish (training material is only available in English).

• OBI Apps: overview (architecture, tools, technology). 
• ETL overview: Informatica and OOTB metadata. 
• ETL details: DAC and OOTB repository. 
• Business Layer: OOTB .rpd overview. 
• Maintaining INFA domain, servers and repositories. 
• Maintaining DAC: repository backup and restore. 
• Maintenance best practices: using DAC to manage the Data Warehouse.
